⭐ Citation Styles

Your citations will be inserted according to the active ‘Citation Style’. Styles are formatting rules set out by journals and publishers. In some cases the citation may contain details about the cited source, while other publications may only use a footnote number.

The appearance of your citations is controlled by the Citation Style you currently have selected. They can be modified at any time using the ‘Format’ or ‘Styles’ option on the plugin toolbar.

This will open an interface allowing you to select from a list of common styles. If the style you need isn’t listed, you can use the ‘Select Other Styles’ tab to install it.

You can also edit an existing style or create new styles using the Styles Manager.
